Climbing is for those of us who want to grow and who believe that every moment of life can be a growth experience, and not just time-pass.

Rock Climbing is certainly about skills. Balance, strength and power, flexibility of movement and endurance is what it takes to make you climb those sheer faces, and challenge yourself constantly to seek new faces to climb. Although every individual has physical limits, very few of us are close to reaching those potentials.

ISheer rock faces , ideal for the athletic sport of rock climbing can be found in many areas of India. The Aravali hills have some excellent climbing faces at Dumdama, Dhauj and Nuh, all situated near Delhi.

Mount Abu, Golden Gorn spire, Adhar Devi slab and Sariska in Rajasthan also provides exhilarating bouldering experiences.

Pavagadh in Gujarat has exciting possibilities.

In Himachal Pradesh, the Manali valley, Manikaran and Rohtang Pass, as well as Spiti, all provide some great climbing opportunities.

In Maharashtra, Igatpuri, Malshejghat, Kanheri caves, Mumbra, Dudha and Manori beach all have great bouldering possibilities.

In Karnataka, the Chamundi Hills have a variety of rock faces. Hampi and Bangalore are locations worth climbing.

In West Bengal, Darjeeling and Susunia hills offer climbing experiences.

The Himalayan peaks are the climbers dream. The high-altitude climber will enjoy the rocks at Sonamarg in Kashmir and Gangotri in Garhwal, Uttarakhand.
